Parrish, of Waterbury, is a writer and a photojournalist by profession. Parrish is a recipient of a Kodak commendation and his work has been exhibited at the New York State Fair, which showcases agriculture, entertainment, education and technology, according to a release issued by the library. In addition, he has displayed his photography as far west as Oregon and western Canada.
Parrish began his career by studying watercolors then the history of art and music eventually settling on photography, including the processing and printing of film, the release stated.
