NAUGATUCK — The Whittemore Library will feature the artwork of Sarah Cyr during March.

Cyr, a Naugatuck resident, specializes in watercolor and colored pencil work. She also works in a number of other mediums, including pastels, graphite pencil, charcoals, acrylics and tempera paint, according to a news release. Her work covers a variety of genres, including portraiture, still life, life drawing, comic and fantasy, and wildlife.

Cyr describes her work as conceptual art where the focus of the work is the idea or concept, and all the planning for the piece is done beforehand. She graduated from Sacred Heart University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in illustration and graphic design.

This month’s exhibit, which is currently on display on the Whittemore Gallery Wall, can be viewed during regular library hours. The Whittemore Library is located at 243 Church St. For more information, call the library at (203) 729-4591.
