NAUGATUCK — The Whittemore Library and the Trumbull-Porter Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter are teaming up to celebrate Constitution Week.

Sept.17 marks the 226th anniversary of the framing of the Constitution of the United States of America by the Constitutional Convention.

The Whittemore Library is the site of the main observation and celebration of 2013 Constitution Week in Naugatuck. Mayor Robert Mezzo has signed a proclamation designating Sept. 17 to Sept. 23 as Constitution Week in Naugatuck. This proclamation is featured in the Constitution Week display on the first floor of the library. The display includes historical information, informative handouts and relevant books from the library’s collection. The observance in Naugatuck will extend past Constitution Week until the entire month.
