Whittemore announces May artist

NAUGATUCK — The Whittemore Library is featuring the artwork and sculptures of Naugatuck resident Gail Streigle this month.

Streigle, a freelance graphic artist, studied graphic design and illustration at the New England School of Art in Boston and at Paier School of Art in Hamden. Streigle has done illustration work for magazines as well as calendar and greeting card design for Derbyshire Publishing.

Streigle has also created storybook characters out of recyclable materials that are displayed in the library’s children’s department.
