WATERBURY — A Beacon Falls man had medical difficulties as he was entering the Burger King drive-thru on Thomaston Avenue shortly after 6 p.m. Tuesday, causing him to drive over part of the car in front of him and land atop a three-foot pole.

The 2001 Dodge Durango driven by Jason Moscato, 22, crashed into an 2000 Acura 35RL sedan after he had a seizure or some similar medical problem, said Capt. Christopher Corbett, spokesman for the Waterbury Police Department. Part of the drive-thru’s display apparatus fell off and both heavily damaged cars were towed from the scene.

Moscato was in stable condition at Waterbury Hospital late Tuesday, Corbett said. The driver of the Acura, 46-year-old Chevelle Davis of 37 Beth Lane, and her grandson, 4-year-old Rayquan Anderson, suffered minor injuries and were hospitalized for evaluation, Corbett said.
