Volunteers sought for Beacon Falls CERT

BEACON FALLS — The town is looking for residents interested in volunteering to join the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).

CERT is a training program that prepares residents to assist in the event of a disaster. As a member of CERT, volunteers can respond to disasters, participate in drills and exercises, and take additional training.

The program is open to anyone 18 years old and older. The program will start on April 25 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Prospect firehouse, 26 New Haven Road, Prospect, and run each consecutive Wednesday for six weeks.
