Volunteers needed to help with senior center makeover

NAUGATUCK — Habitat for Humanity of Greater Waterbury is seeking volunteers to help with a mini makeover of the Naugatuck Senior Center.

The three-day event, dubbed A Brush with Kindness, is Aug 29-31 at the senior center, 300 Meadow St. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Waterbury is working with the borough and WinnCompanies to spruce up the senior center, which includes painting.

Volunteers are needed on Aug. 29 between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to prepare the senior center for painting, which will be done Aug. 30. Volunteers are also needed Aug. 31 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. to put furniture back in place, hang pictures, organize and clean.
