Vandals target cars


A vandal or vandals likely armed with a BB gun caused damage to multiple cars in Beacon Falls and Prospect early this week, according to police.

Police in Beacon Falls and Prospect received several reports Sunday of cars being damaged, including car windows that were smashed, according to police reports filed at Connecticut State Police Troop I in Bethany. According to police, similar incidents also occurred in Bethany.

Police reported the damage to the cars was likely done with a BB gun. The streets where cars were vandalized included Maple Avenue and Burton Road in Beacon Falls, and New Haven Road and Summit Road in Prospect.

Police said they have no leads, and the suspect or suspects may be driving a silver or grey passenger car. The incidents remain under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Troop I at (203) 393-4200.
