BEACON FALL — An internal affairs investigation involving former Resident Trooper Anthony Cipriano has been concluded, state police said Friday.

State police spokesman J. Paul Vance said the Connecticut State Police Internal Affairs Unit has concluded its investigation, and Cipriano took a voluntary transfer to Troop A in Southbury. Vance would not release any further details.

Beacon Falls has had a temporary resident trooper since around October while internal affairs looked into a personnel issue involving Cipriano, who was temporarily assigned to Troop I during the investigation.

State police did not release what the issue was about or who filed the allegation.

Vance said Andrew Borelli has been temporarily assigned as the acting resident trooper, while state police post for the position.
