BEACON FALLS — The Beacon Falls Transfer Station will be open to residents on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The transfer station is located at the public works garage on Lopus Road. Residents must have a sticker showing proof of residency. Stickers can be purchased for $2 at the Beacon Falls Police Station or the Town Clerk’s Office in Town Hall.
No commercial trucks, including dump trucks, will be allowed. Brush can be dropped off at the transfer station during May and June from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. After June, brush can be dropped off on Fridays only. Braches up to 3 inches in diameter only will be accepted.
The Department of Public Works will no longer pick up bagged leaves.
The transfer station is also scheduled to be open May 18 and June 29. Additional opening dates will be announced at a later time.
