Towns holding drug take back day

Five area police stations will serve as drop off sites for people to dispose of medications on National Medication Take Back Day April 28.

Residents can drop off outdated, unknown, unused prescription and over-the-counter medicines from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to the Prospect Resident State Trooper’s Office, 8 Center St., Prospect; Southbury Resident Trooper’s Office, 421 Main St. South, Southbury; Woodbury Resident Trooper’s Office, 271 Main St. South, Woodbury; Bethlehem Resident Trooper’s Office, 36 Main St. South, Bethlehem; Wolcott Police Department, 225 Nichols Road, Wolcott.

Intravenous solutions injectables needles, thermometers, or illicit drugs such as marijuana or methamphetamine will not be accepted.
