NAUGATUCK — Police are investigating a Sunday morning car accident that killed a 77-year-old Prospect man. George Hall, of 8 Highland Drive in Prospect, was driving his 1990 Honda Accord on Prospect Street toward the borough when he lost control of the vehicle while trying to navigate a slight left curve, according to a Naugatuck Police Department statement. Hall’s car hit a stone wall and a parked Mazda pickup truck at 442 Prospect Street then continued down an embankment and struck a Chevrolet Blazer parked on the same property.

An ambulance transported Hall to St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, where he was later pronounced dead. Witnesses said no other occupied vehicles were involved in the crash, according to the police statement.

The NPD has asked anyone with information about the accident to contact Officer Jay Pugliese at (203) 729-5222.
