NAUGATUCK — Step Up Naugy is collecting left over prescription and over the counter medications Saturday as part of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
Representatives from Step Up Naugy, a prevention coalition that focuses on preventing use and abuse of alcohol and other drugs among Naugatuck youth, will be on the Naugatuck Green from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The collection will take place during St. Michael’s Church’s Spring Market, and a police officer will be present to insure that the medications are kept secure.
Medications can also be disposed off in a drop box in the lobby of the Naugatuck Police Department, 211 Spring St. The drop box is accessible at all hours of the day.
