State police investigating Beacon Falls thefts

State police are investigating two recent thefts in Beacon Falls.

On Feb. 15, state police from Troop I in Bethany responded to Woodland Regional High School for a complaint of a stolen laptop. According to the police report, the laptop was stolen on Feb. 14 from a teacher’s room, while the room was unattended.

On the same day police responded to the high school, they also responded to a complaint that power tools were stolen from the back of a pick-up truck parked on Starwood Lane.

According to the police report, the tools were last seen at 4 p.m. on Feb. 14, and were discovered missing at 5 a.m. Feb. 15.

Both cases remained under investigation.
