St. Michael’s to host annual fair

NAUGATUCK — St. Michael’s Episcopal Church will hold its 53rd annual Village Green Fair Sept. 7 and Sept. 8 on the Naugatuck Green.

The fair will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 7 and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m Sept. 8.

The fair will feature a host of old and new vendor booths, including one selling the church’s homemade peach shortcake. The St. Mike’s Express will once again be running and giving children rides around the Green. Live entertainment will be featured on Sept. 7 and a live auction will be held on the afternoon of Sept. 8.

The fair committee is accepting donations for booths through the end of August. The committee is seeking donations of gently used household items, child related items, and books, excluding encyclopedias, magazines and textbooks. The committee is not accepting donations of clothing, TVs, electronics, large appliances, computers or bedding and linens.

Donations can be dropped off at the church, 210 Church St., Tuesdays through Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. Proceeds from the fair support the parish’s outreach programs. For more information, call (203) 729-8249.
