BEACON FALLS — A new festival to celebrate autumn is coming to St. Michael Church.

The first St. Michael’s Fall Festival and Raffle is Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the church at 25 Maple Ave.

The festival will feature a variety of activities, including a horse-drawn hayride, a petting zoo, face painting, and live music by Timmy Maia and the Coastal Chordsmen Barbershop Chorus, St. Michael parishioner Kimberly Pyka said.

There will also be vendors and a tag sale at the festival and a raffle, which is a fundraiser for the church, Pyka said.

Interested vendors and those who want to participate in the tag sale can contact Elaine Klabonski at 203-804-4493 or Jason Ewen at 203-215-2837.

Pyka said the fall festival was born out of the church’s annual Four Seasons Country Fair, which ran until last year.

“They wanted to change it up and to get more participation in the festival,” Pyka said. “We just wanted to focus more on the fall festival to try to bring more people in.”

Pyka said the festival is a good way to bring the whole community together.

“There is something for everyone. There is a pie eating contest. The music is awesome,” Pyka said. “It is a fun time with a lot of things to enjoy.”
