NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Portuguese Club is offering three scholarships to students whose parents or guardians are members of the club.

Applicants must be completing their senior year at an accredited high school in Connecticut and planning to attend a two- or four-year school of higher education. Applications are available at the club, 110 Rubber Ave., or by calling Anita Lavado at (203) 758-6098. The deadline to submit applications is April 12.

Prospect Historical Society

PROSPECT — The Prospect Historical Society is accepting applications for the Nellie and Ruth Cowdell Scholarship.

Eligible students must be from Prospect, graduating high school and attending an institute of higher learning in the fall. The $1,000 scholarship is based on scholarship, financial need, service and a short essay about Prospect.

Applications must be received by May 7. Applications are available at most high school guidance offices, Town Hall, Prospect Library or online at www.prospecthistoricalsociety.org.

Naugatuck Exchange Club

NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Exchange Club Foundation is accepting applications for its yearly scholarship.

This scholarship is awarded to a Naugatuck resident who is presently a high school senior and planning to attending college for the fall 2013 semester. The deadline to apply is April 30. To obtain an application, call Cliff Kiernan at (203) 723-7277 or Janet Sagendorf at (203) 723-0399.

Naugatuck Woman’s Club

NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Woman’s Club is accepting applications for its annual scholarships.

The club awards two $1,000 scholarships each year to high school seniors who live in Naugatuck. The students don’t have to attend Naugatuck High School. All seniors from Naugatuck are eligible to apply. The deadline to apply is April 26. Applications are available at area high schools or by calling Anne Adamski at (203) 723-2161.
