Portuguese Club

NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Portuguese Club is offering three scholarships to students whose parents or guardians are members of the club.

Applicants must be completing their senior year at an accredited high school in Connecticut and planning to attend a two or four-year school of higher education.

Tate College Scholarship

NAUGATUCK — Applications are being accepted for the Dr. Curtis E. Tate College Scholarship.

The scholarship is intended to provide financial aid to a qualifying USA Martial Arts student or child of a student of USA Martial Arts, and $1,500 is awarded.

Eligibility requirements include being a current member or child of a current member of USA Martial Arts in Naugatuck or Woodbury or one of its park and recreation programs for at least two years. Applicants must be accepted by or attending an accredited college. Applications will be accepted until April 8 at 12 p.m. and postmarked no later than April 5. Applications are available at usamartialartsct.com.

Kenney Scholarship Program

The Robert T. Kenney Scholarship Program at the American Savings Foundation is accepting scholarship applications from current high school seniors, current college students, and nontraditional adult students who will be enrolled in college for the 2017-18 academic year.

Students from Beacon Falls, Naugatuck and Prospect are eligible to apply. Current high school seniors must be ranked in the top third of their graduating class or have a 2.5 GPA or higher.  Current college students must be maintaining a 2.5 GPA or higher.

Applications can be submitted online at www.asfdn.org. Applications are due by March 31.

Easter Seals scholarships

Easter Seals of Greater Waterbury accepting applications for scholarships for eligible individuals with disabilities who are pursuing a postsecondary degree at an accredited college or university.

Eligible candidates must reside in greater Waterbury, the central Naugatuck Valley and northwestern Connecticut. Applications are available online at www.easterseals.com/waterburyct. The deadline to apply is May 5.

Prospect Scholarship Foundation

PROSPECT — The Prospect Scholarship Foundation, Inc. is offering two $1,000 scholarships.

Applicants must be attending a post-secondary school and live in Prospect. Winners will be chosen based on a combination of academic achievement, character, demonstrated leadership, community service and participation in school activities. Financial need is also a consideration for one of the scholarships.

The deadline to apply is 3 p.m. on April 1. For more information or applications, visit prospectbusiness.org.

Lions, Lioness clubs scholarships

BEACON FALLS — The Lions and Lioness clubs are accepting scholarship applications.

Eligible candidates must reside in Beacon Falls and be attending a two- or four-year college in September. The scholarship given by the Lioness Club is limited to female applicants. Applications are available at Woodland Regional High School and by calling Mary Unfricht at 203-723-0943.
