Naugatuck Portuguese Club

NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Portuguese Club is offering three scholarships.

The scholarships are available to students whose parents or guardians are members of the club. Applicants must be completing their senior year of high school and planning to attend a two- or four-year school of higher learning.

Applications are available at the club, 110 Rubber Ave., or by emailing Cathleen Piscitelli at Cathleenrosep@att.net. The deadline to submit an application is April 10.

Beacon Falls Lions Club

BEACON FALLS — The Beacon Falls Lions Club is accepting scholarship applications.

The club will award six $1,000 scholarships to students who are graduating from high school and continuing their education at an accredited college. Eligible students must live in Beacon Falls.

Applications are available at Woodland Regional High School and at the Beacon Falls Pharmacy, 20 North Main St. The deadline to submit applications is April 1. For more information, call Mary Unfricht at (203) 723-0943.

Prospect Historical Society

PROSPECT — The Prospect Historical Society is accepting applications for the 2015 Nellie and Ruth Cowdell Scholarship.

Any high school senior, who lives in Prospect and is attending college in the fall, is eligible to apply for the scholarship. Applications are available at school guidance offices, Prospect Town Hall, 36 Center St., or online at www.prospecthistoricalsociety.org. Applications must be received by May 1.

Perugini Charitable Trust

Applications are now being accepted for the Camille B. Perugini Charitable Trust annual scholarship.

The scholarship is available to all Naugatuck, Prospect, Beacon Falls, Wolcott and local area high school seniors who demonstrate scholastic achievement, community involvement and financial need.

Scholarships can range up to $2,000 per recipient and there will be multiple winners.
Applications are available at most area high school guidance offices, or can be requested from attorney Carla M. Perugini Erickson via mail at P.O. Box 7299, Prospect, CT 06712, calling (203) 527-9307 or emailing Carla.erickson@sbcglobal.net.

Applications need to be returned by April 30. Applications can be mailed to attorney Carla M. Perugini Erickson via mail at, P.O. Box 7299, Prospect, CT 06712 or dropped off at Jesse Camille’s Restaurant, 615 N. Church St., Naugatuck, in an envelope addressed to “Attorney Erickson.”

Naugatuck Woman’s Club

NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Woman’s Club is accepting applications for two college scholarships.

The club will award two $1,000 scholarships. The scholarships are available to Naugatuck residents. Applicants must be high school seniors who will graduate and plan to continue their education.

Application packets are available at area guidance counselor offices. The deadline to submit applications is April 30. Applications must be submitted directly to Scholastic Award Chairperson Debbie Cryan.

Langhorst Memorial Scholarship

NAUGATUCK — St. Michael’s Church of Naugatuck is offering the Winfred B. Langhorst Memorial Scholarship.

The scholarship is $1,500. Naugatuck residents or a registered member of St. Michael’s Church in Naugatuck is eligible to apply for the scholarship. The student must be a graduating senior from an accredited area high school or an accredited parochial or preparatory school. The student must also be planning to attend college or another post-secondary institution of higher learning.

Interested students should contact their guidance department for an application. The deadline to apply is April 30.
