NAUGATUCK — Throughout the month of January, the Rotary Club’s book collection will be on display at the Whittemore Library’s gallery wall.

The collection is books funded by Naugatuck’s Rotary Club during 2011. Each year since 1955, the library has received an annual stipend with which to purchase books on a variety of subjects. Each book entered into the library’s collection is labeled with a special bookplate featuring the Rotary seal and a Rotarian’s name. Books are purchased based on the special interests of each Rotarian on the occasion of his/her birthday. To date, over 3,772 books have been added to the library’s permanent collection.

Library staff acknowledged the patronage of the Rotary Club and encouraged patrons to check out books from the collection. For more information, call (203) 729-4591.
