NAUGATUCK — A collection of books funded by the Naugatuck Rotary Club in 2017 is on display this month at the Whittemore Library.

Each year since 1955, the library has received an annual stipend from the club to purchase books, a press release stated. Each book is labeled with a special bookplate featuring the Rotary seal and a Rotarian’s name. Books are purchased based on the special interests of each Rotarian on his or her birthday, or books on the New York Times’ bestseller lists. To date, 3,937 books have been added to the library’s permanent collection.

The display can be viewed during normal hours at the library, 243 Church St. For more information, call 203-729-4591.
