NAUGATUCK — Throughout the month, the Whittemore Library is displaying a collection of books funded by the Rotary Club of Naugatuck during 2012.

Each year since 1955, the library has received an annual stipend from the club to purchase books. Each book entered into the library’s collection is labeled with a special bookplate featuring the Rotary seal and a Rotarian’s name. Books are purchased based on the special interests of each Rotarian on the occasion of his/her birthday. To date, over 3,815 books have been added to the library’s permanent collection.

The collection is on display at the Whittemore Gallery Wall located on the main floor in the Adult Department and can be viewed during normal library hours.
