NAUGATUCK — Police are advising drivers to steer clear of a section of Route 63 near Middlebury after a tractor-trailer snagged utility wires and pulled down a utility pole.
Police said Route 63 from Porter Avenue, which cuts through Hop Brook Golf Course, to Allerton Road is closed while the pole is repaired.
The accident happened at about 3 p.m., police said. No one was injured, and the incident involved only the tractor-trailer, police said.
Police said utility crews are responding to the scene and the road will be open as soon as the pole is fixed.
