Road bond package up for vote

BEACON FALLS — BEACON FALLS — Voters will be asked to authorize bonding up to $2.1 million for road repairs at a town meeting July 6.

The meeting is at 6:45 p.m. at Town Hall, 10 Maple Ave.

The money is planned to be used for the reconstruction of all or part of Burton Road, Noe Place and Highland Avenue. Officials plan to offset the cost of the work with $500,000 that was previously transferred from the general fund balance.

A town meeting scheduled for June 23 to vote on the bond package was canceled.
