Registrars to hold voter registrations

The registrars of voters from Naugatuck, Beacon Falls, and Prospect will each hold a voter registration session Tuesday for the Aug. 14 Democratic and Republican primaries.

The session in Naugatuck will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. in Naugatuck Town Hall.

In Beacon Falls the session will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. in the lower level of Beacon Falls Town Hall.

In Prospect the session will be from 5 to 7 p.m. in the registrars office at Prospect Town Hall. The registrars also will hear requests for adding names to the registry of persons removed from the enrollment lists.

The purpose of the sessions is the registration and/or enrollment of electors entitled to vote in the state, district or municipal office primary. The deadline for new voter registration by mail must be postmarked by Aug. 9 and registration in person must be done by 12 p.m. Aug. 13.

The Beacon Falls registrars added voters who normally vote in the Laurel Ledge School gym will vote in the school’s cafeteria for the Aug. 14 primary.
