NAUGATUCK — Naugatuck police are seeking the public’s help to find 44-year-old Chad Cookson, who was last heard from six weeks ago.

Police said Cookson, whose last known address was 49 Bingham St., last spoke with his son by phone on Aug. 22. Cookson had been caring for his sick mother, who recently passed away. Cookson’s son told police his father had made comments about being depressed while caring for his mother. Cookson’s son became more concerned about his father’s well-being after she died, police said.

Police said Cookson’s son attempted to contact Cookson after his mother died, but was unsuccessful. Cookson’s cell phone has been disconnected and there has been no recent activity on Cookson’s social media page, police said.

Cookson’s son reported him missing Wednesday night, police said.

Cookson is white, with brown hair and brown eyes, 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs about 250 pounds. He drives a 2001 red Pontiac Montana, with the license plate 705-FET, according to police. 2001-Pontiac-Montana

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Cookson is asked to contact the Naugatuck Police Department at (203) 729-5221.
