PROSPECT — The Prospect Resident Trooper’s Office will be on the lookout for drivers not wearing their seatbelts.

Prospect police are joining in on the Click It or Ticket Campaign, which runs Monday to Dec. 16. Officers will be cracking down on drivers who aren’t wearing seat belts, a release issued by the office stated, and any driver found not wearing their seat belt can expect a ticket and not a warning.

Night-time enforcement will be a priority of the campaign, the release stated, because drivers and passengers are less likely to wear seat belts at night. The release stated 61 percent of people who died in night-time crashes were not wearing their seat belts.
