PROSPECT – It is with profound sorrow and broken hearts that the adopted family of Michael “Mike” Miller, age 69, of Prospect, announces his unexpected passing on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Saint Mary’s Hospital.
Michael was born on June 22, 1954 in Waterbury, son of the late William C. and Helen (Hart) Miller, and was a graduate of Wilby High School in Waterbury. Mike went on to work as a supervisor for more than 30 years and had since retired from Pratt & Whitney.
He was a devoted friend, neighbor, uncle, and mentor who was full of support and love. Mike took great pride in spending time with his great-niece and -nephew along with going to their sports games. He shared a special love for country music, animals, and recently began baking delicious treats.
Mike will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to love and know him.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memories are his adopted family, Anna and Glenn Decarolis, Amanda and Eric Harrison, James Decarolis and his partner Alexa Gorman, Brandon and Amber Decarolis, David Decarolis; along with great-niece and -nephew, Lily and Dean Harrison; his dog and loyal companion Sydney; sister, Ann Miller; sister-in-law, Alice Miller; along with many other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Mike was predeceased by his brother, William Miller.
Relatives and friends were invited to visit with Mike’s family on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral and Cremation Care, 1987 E. Main St., Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial was to be private at the convenience of his family.
