The Prospect Land Trust joined the Connecticut Forests and Parks Association and other organizations in celebrating Trails Day 2023.

Over 23 hikers hiked the trails of Kathan Woods in Prospect on June 3.

The land trust is continuing its annual membership renewal and year end donation drive.

The trust currently has 90 members and has set a goal to have 100 members in 2023.

“Drive 100,” membership dues, and donations and the occasional small grant are the land trust’s only sources of revenue and are tax-deductible and will assist the land trust with its mission to: acquire, maintain, and manage property in the town of Prospect so that wetlands and watercourses, farmlands, woodlands, and other significant lands can be preserved in their present state, thereby protecting them for their scenic, natural, and historical value and for educational and recreational benefits for present and for all future generations.
