PROSPECT — A series of memoir writing workshops will be held at the Prospect Library beginning next week.

The series titled, “Custodians of Memory: Memoir Writing with Louise MacCormack,” will be held every other Saturday from Sept. 8 through Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. MacCormack, a Fairfield resident, holds a bachelor of arts in English and history from the University of Bridgeport, a master of arts in teaching, and sixth- and seventh-year degrees from Fairfield University. She has been teaching classes on memoir writing at the Fairfield Public Library for almost four years.

Any adults interested in developing writing skills or writing their memoir are invited to attend. The workshop will focus on sharing memories and interests, learning from each other’s writing, developing writing goals, and learning the difference between autobiography and memoir.

Participants must be prepared to commit to attending two workshops a month. The workshop is limited to 10 people maximum. Registration begins Sept. 4. To register for form more information, call the library at (203) 758-3001 or e-mail libraryprospectad@yahoo.com.
