Prospect Library announces exhibit


PROSPECT — The Prospect Public Library will feature the artwork of Diane Zibell in September.

Zibell is a mixed-media artist who combines acrylics with papers and found objects, according to a press release issued by the library. Most of her pieces celebrate women and often contain butterflies symbolizing metamorphosis, transformation and freedom, the release stated.

Zibell is an elected member of the West Hartford Art League. Her work has been shown in juried shows, and she has also exhibited during Open Studio at Erector Square in New Haven, the release stated.

The exhibit will be on display during regular hours at the library, 17 Center St. The library is hosting an artist reception on Sept. 15 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. For more information, call the library at 203-758-3001.
