PROSPECT — The town, Prospect Congregational Church and St. Anthony Church are participating in a candlelight vigil Tuesday to remember those who died from COVID-19.

The vigil starts at 5:30 p.m. and will coincide with a national, memorial ceremony at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C.

People are invited to go to Prospect Congregational Church, 25 Center St., or St. Anthony Church, 4 Union City Road, to participate in ceremonies on the steps of the churches. People are asked to bring a candle, either electronic or standard, to light. People are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

People who don’t want to attend the ceremonies can participate by lighting a candle at their homes or ring bells at 5:30 p.m. The town will sound its siren at that time, as well.
