Police seek help to find missing teen

NAUGATUCK — Police are seeking the public’s help to find a 13-year-old girl who was last seen in West Haven on June 10.

Police said Arael Laboy, who is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, 130 pounds, with brown eyes, light brown skin and long black hair, was reported missing to the West Haven Police Department.

She was last seen with her family at a karate studio on The Boston Post Road in West Haven, when she told her father that she needed to use the bathroom and never returned.

The family recently moved from West Haven to Naugatuck. Police said after the family notified the Naugatuck school system of their missing daughter, the school system in turn reported it to police.

Laboy has family that currently resides in West Haven. But, they have told police they have not had contact with her.
