Police searching for missing man

NAUGATUCK — Police are searching for 39-year-old Armando Camara of Naugatuck.

Police said Camara was last seen Tuesday night in Naugatuck at 7:30 p.m. by his wife. At that time, police said, Camara left in his red Ford F-150 pickup truck. The truck has a vanity license plate that reads “CAMARA,” according to police.

Police said Camara texted his wife at about 11 p.m. Tuesday indicting he may be in the area of Newburgh, N.Y. Lt. Bryan Cammarata of the Naugatuck Police Department said his truck was found on the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge with his wallet and keys inside. New York State Police are searching in the area of the bridge for Camara, Cammarata said.

Camara is 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 230 pounds, with black hair, a black goatee, brown eyes and a mole on his left cheek. He has tattoos of a Brazilian flag on his left shoulder, Marine Corp emblem on his left torso as well as a tiger, barbed wire and the words “June Bug” on his right arm.

Camara was last seen wearing a grey long sleeve shirt with blue sleeves, blue jeans and brown Sketcher shoes.
