Police remind residents to lock car doors after thefts


PROSPECT — Prospect police issued a reminder to residents to keep their car doors locked after two unlocked cars were reported stolen Monday morning.

Police said two cars were stolen from the Summit Road area. Police said there have also been numerous complaints of items being stolen from cars in the area. Police said in every case all the cars were unlocked, and the cars that were stolen had the keys in them.

Police asked residents to remember to always lock their vehicles and take valuable items into their homes.
