Police investigating Town Hall break-ins

NAUGATUCK — Police are investigating a series of break-ins and attempted break-ins at Naugatuck Town Hall.

Naugatuck police spokesman Lt. Bryan Cammarata said there have been several break-ins and attempted break-ins at Town Hall, 229 Church St., over the past few weeks. The latest came on Sunday when police were called during the early morning hours to investigate an attempted burglary, he said.

Police have also investigated reports of suspicious people around Town Hall.

Cammarata said nothing of significant value has been stolen and no substantial damage has been done to the building. He said police are working to determine the reasons for the incidents. He said the incidents are under investigation and police aren’t releasing further details.
