Police investigating thefts in Prospect

PROSPECT — A work truck was stolen from a construction site at the Regency at Prospect.  

According to a press release issued by state police Troop I in Bethany, the truck was stolen sometime between 4 p.m. Jan. 30 and 7 a.m. Feb. 3 from the site on Scott Road. The truck, which belonged to Quality Landscaping of Monroe, had company lettering on both cab doors, the release stated. The truck also had a 9-foot yellow Fisher snowplow on the front and a stainless steel, 2-yard sand/salt spreader on the bed.

The keys were hidden in a magnetic box under the fender, the release stated.

Police are also investigating the theft of four, stainless steel antique beer barrels from the yard of a home on Rachel Ann Court. According to police, the theft occurred between 12 p.m. on Jan. 26 and 6:20 a.m. on Jan. 27. The total value of the barrels is $1,200, police said.
