PROSPECT — The Shell gas station at 28 Waterbury Road was burglarized during the early morning hours Aug. 4, according to state police.

A press release issued by Troop I in Bethany stated that at about 3 a.m. a male suspect burglarized the gas station. Cash and cigarettes were stolen, according to the Prospect Resident State Trooper’s Office.

The suspect was described as a white male, about 5 feet 9 inches tall. The suspect was wearing a black hat and mask as well as a dark-colored long sleeve shirt, black pants and grey sneakers, state police said.

He had a distinct walk with his right foot being “pigeon-toed” and he landed on the toes of his right foot as he walked, police said.
