Police investigating hit-and-run involving gas pump

ProspectPolicePROSPECT — Police are looking for the driver of an SUV the hit a gas pump at the Shell gas station Nov. 9 then drove away.  

According to a press release issued by Connecticut State Police Troop I, a blue, BMW SUV hit and damaged a gas pump at the Shell station, 28 Waterbury Road, then left the scene of the accident. Police described the driver as a white male, about 30 years old, with thinning hair. The man was wearing a dark-colored fleece jacket, with what appeared to be a skull on the back, according to police. The SUV is likely to have damage on its rear end, police added.
