Police investigating armed robbery

Police-badgeNAUGATUCK — Police are searching for two suspects who robbed a gas station on North Main Street Monday night.

According to police, two black men went into the Indtur Gas Station, 531 North Main St., at about 8 p.m. and one immediately pointed a handgun at the head of the store clerk. The suspects fled with an undetermined amount of cash. The clerk, who was the only person in the store at the time of the robbery, was not injured, police said.

The suspect who had the hand gun was described as 6 feet 5 inches tall, wearing a black Hoodie with the hood over his head and dark framed sun glasses. He was also wearing black gloves, according to police.

The second suspect was described as about 5 feet 8 inches tall. No clothing description was provided for this suspect, police said.
