NAUGATUCK — A 23-year-old local man is accused of sexually assaulting a minor for several years.

Police reported Jordan Torres, of 24 George St., sexually assaulted a boy, who was a family member, for several years beginning when the boy was 7 years old. The boy is now a pre-teen, police said.

Police learned of the incidents when the boy had disclosed what had happened.

Torres was arrested April 17 and charged with first-degree sexual assault, third-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. According to online judicial records, Torres was held on $100,000 following his arraignment and is scheduled to appear again in Waterbury Superior Court on May 12.

  1. They didn’t mention that this happened 9 years ago. The boy said he was four when this happened and Jordan was 12 or 13. How do you remember this if you were 4 and just bring it up now?
