NAUGATUCK — A 33-year-old Naugatuck was arrested this week after police say they saw child pornography on his computer while executing a search warrant for a separate investigation.

Police executed a search warrant at Travis Tilley’s apartment at about 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday in connection with an ongoing investigation into a sexual assault of a minor, according to court documents.

As police searched the home, officers noticed that a file was in the process of being downloaded on Tilley’s computer in his bedroom, the arrest report states. The file opened to seven images and one video depicting children under the age of 16 in various stages of undress and engaged in sexually explicit conduct and sexual intercourse, the report states.

Police seized the computer equipment for analysis after obtaining a second search warrant. The investigation is ongoing.

Tilley, of 883 Rubber Ave., was arrested on the scene and charged with third-degree illegal possession of child pornography. Tilley was arraigned in Waterbury Superior Court last week and held on a $100,000 bond, according to the state Judicial Branch’s website. He is scheduled to appear in court again on Sept. 13.
