NAUGATUCK — Police arrested three women on prostitution charges Wednesday after executing a search warrant at a New Haven Road massage parlor where patrons were allegedly paying for sex inside.
Police said the arrests stemmed from an investigation into Maple Massage at 1177 New Haven Road. Police said Det. Thomas McGarvey led the investigation, which found evidence that employees were accepting cash in exchange for sex acts.
Police charged Lijie Zheng, a 52-year-old Hartford woman, with permitting prostitution and second-degree promoting prostitution. Police also charged two Flushing, N.Y. women — Kun Liu, 50, and Zuohua Wang, 44 — with prostitution and conspiracy to commit prostitution.
The three women were held on bonds and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court Thursday.
