The Board of Education approved a pilot program to integrate 25 Apple iPod Touches and 25 iPads into the educational toolbox for students struggling with English and special education students. The school received two grants totaling $20,000 for the program.
Brigitte Crispino, director of curriculum, said the director of technology was looking at making the schools completely wireless, which would help integrate the Apple devices.
Crispino said the program is experimental and they plan to try a variety of applications for the new technology.
