Pedestrian breaks leg in hit-and-run


Police-badgeNAUGATUCK — A pedestrian suffered a broken leg after being stuck by a car Friday night at the intersection of Water and Maple streets, according to police.

Police said the accident occurred at about 7 p.m. The car, which was described as a newer model white or silver sedan, fled the scene and the left the victim in the crosswalk, according to police. A partial license plate number for the car of “89 XYZ” was obtained.
