NAUGATUCK — The borough of Naugatuck is seeking organizations to participate in a Safety and Preparedness Day.
The event is planned for Sept. 23, from 12 to 4 p.m., at Naugatuck High School.
September is National Preparedness Month and the purpose of the fair is to help the citizens of Naugatuck to be safe, prepare for an emergency and be aware of the various resources available to them.
There is no charge for organizations to participate in the event. Participations will need to provide table and supplies. So far several organizations are signed up, including the Naugatuck police and fire departments, Jane Doe No More, High Rock Rifle Club, and Lifestar.
The borough is also looking for entertainers who would like to donate their services to make it a fun day.
Organizations interested in participating in the event can contact Deputy Fire Chief Ellen Murray at (203) 720-7082 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Organizations should contact Murray by Aug. 10.
