NAUGATUCK — Yoland Roy, 77, the husband of Murielle (Grondin) Roy, died peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Roy was born on June 30, 1939 in Saint-Martin de Beauce, Québec, Canada, a son of the late Alphonse and Emérina (Leclerc) Roy, and had lived in Naugatuck for most of his life. He was an owner, with two of his brothers, of Roy Brothers Carpentry & Construction Company.
In addition to his wife Murielle, Mr. Roy is survived by his daughter, Christine Roy of Naugatuck; his brother, Ange Emile and Jocelyne Roy of Naugatuck; his sister, Henriette Roy of Naugatuck, and several other brothers and sisters, along with many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
