William J. Warner

MIDDLEBURY — William J. Warner, 52, the husband of Stefanie (Capozziello) Warner, and father of William Travis Warner, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016 at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Bill was born on Aug. 2, 1964 in Waterbury, a son of Margaret P. (Sabot) Warner of Southbury, and the late James C. Warner.

Bill graduated from Nonnewaug High School and earned an Associate’s Degree in nuclear medicine technology from Lincoln College and was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Bill was the head fleet mechanic at Tri-State Industrial Maintenance in Oxford. Bill could repair anything and was fondly referred to as “MacGyver.” He loved all things mechanical and could often be found in his garage working on his ‘66 Mustang and other “projects.” He loved animals and enjoyed spending time with his five dogs. He was proud to be an organ donor and was able to help up to 50 people with his donation to the New England Donor Bank. Bill was most proud of Travis and the man he has become.
