WATERBURY — Mr. William Charles Reilly, 60, of Waterbury and Falmouth, Mass., died Friday, Nov. 11, 2016 unexpectedly on the 18th hole at Portland West Golf Course.

Mr. Reilly was born Aug. 8, 1956 in Waterbury, a son of Jean (Mara) Reilly of Prospect and the late William E. Reilly.

He was a member of the Class of Holy Cross High School 1974 and the Culinary Institute of America in 1979.

He was employed as a chef by the Houstonian, Promenade Café, The Parker House and lastly by the Crowne Plaza in Danbury as an executive chef. His love of food made it a true gourmet experience. Bill was an avid golfer, experienced skier, biker and kayaker.

In addition to his mother, Bill is survived by three sisters, Kathy Reilly Dwyer and her husband, Ken, of Prospect, Mara Reilly and her husband, Robert Grady, of Austin, Texas, and Teresa Chang and her husband, Raymond, of Williamsburg of Va.; six nieces and nephews, Christopher Chang and his wife, Kaitlynn, Marissa Chang, Kailey Dwyer, Lilly and Seamus Grady and Kyle Chang.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, Nov. 18, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Calling hours will be on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck.
