Wanda F. Paladino

Wanda F. Paladino, 96, beloved wife of the late Anthony P. Paladino, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, at Waterbury Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on April 9, 1921, the daughter of Michael and Frances (Marinak) Blasiak.

Wanda graduated in 1937 from The Jules E. Mastbaum Vocational High School in Philadelphia after having completed her course in Home Economics. She loved to crochet, play pinochle and Bingo, and watch golf on TV. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family, who will miss her greatly.

She leaves behind three caring sons, Edward (Mary) Sekula of Minnetonka, Minn., Richard (Loretta) Sekula of Norristown, Pa., and Anthony (Bonnie) Paladino of Royersford, Pa. She resided for the past 21 years with her devoted daughter, Francine (William) Molinelli, in Beacon Falls. Her 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also mourn her passing.

Wanda was predeceased by her beloved first husband, PFC Edward Sekula, who was killed in the Battle of Okinawa while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. She was also predeceased by her brother, Joseph Blasiak, and sister, Rose Wisniewski.

A graveside committal service will be held in the family plot at St. Patrick Cemetery, Norristown, Pa., at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Wanda’s memory to St. Jude Children Research Hospital through the Miller-Ward Funeral Home of Seymour, which is compassionately caring for the family.
